About the Author

Nattassa Blakeney is a Media & Communications Consultant originally from St. John’s, Antigua, in the Caribbean. She holds a degree in Journalism with a minor in Political Science from the University of the West Indies. Nattassa also studied at the Edna Manley College of the Visual & Performing Arts in Jamaica, where she majored in Dance and became a certified Dance Educator.

A poet, writer, and WordPress blogger, Nattassa is also a content creator on YouTube. She is a founding member of UK Pivot, which hosts the community-focused podcast UnMute Now, aimed at amplifying the voices of the African and Caribbean communities in Northern Ireland on issues of significance. In her spare time, Nattassa hosts her own podcast,

A voracious reader and consumer of K-Drama, Nattassa also enjoys learning new languages. Currently residing in the United Kingdom, she is working on publishing several projects, including the first book in a children's book series, set to be released in the coming year.
